NATURE 101 – CATERPILLARS
September 12, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Fueling migration for billions of birds and food for a myriad of other animals as well, these little guys have a difficult time growing up – less than 1% see their adult moth or butterfly form. As such these incredible critters have adapted fascinating ways of avoiding predation, everything from scary snake heads and head capsule flails to odiferous appendages and toxic spines . . . And with over 3000 different species in Ohio, there is quite a variety. Register by Sept. 10 at 419-221-1232. * accompanying program – Cats and Moths.
