Archery

 

Through the generosity of Richard B. (Dick) Evans, Allen County archers have an outlet to perfect their sport.  The Evans Archery Range is located on the west edge of Kendrick Woods Metro Park at 1376 N. Saint Mary’s Road, Spencerville, OH 45887.

The range was built in-house by Park employees and consists of three separate areas: 1) An elevated platform with targets at 10, 20, 30 and 40 yards; 2) a beginner course at ground level with targets at 5, 10, 15 and 20 yards; 3) a professional course with targets at 25, 35, 45, 50 and 60 yards.

Field points will be allowed, but no broad heads will be permitted at the range under any circumstances. The Evans Archery Range is open daily during daylight hours for everyone that wants to practice.  Users are asked to sign in at the range platform prior to shooting.
