There are plenty of hiking and biking opportunities throughout the Johnny Appleseed Park District. Whether you are looking to take in nature at Kendrick Woods or take a long-distance bike ride on the Rotary Riverwalk from Heritage Park to Ottawa Metro Park, with over forty miles of trail, there is something for everyone!

The enhancement of the Miami and Erie Canal Towpath Trail in 2018 andHiking and Biking 2019provides additional opportunities for trail enthusiasts to get an up-close look at western Allen County history along with nature. The trail is part of the Buckeye Trail and the North Country National Scenic Trail. Through a no cost lease with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Park District is responsible for maintaining an eight-mile stretch between the Village of Spencerville and the City of Delphos.
