Fishing is available at several of our park locations for those with a fishing license and for those without a license.
Johnny Appleseed Park District ponds are the perfect place for family and friends to fish without a fishing license. Bass, Bluegill and catfish can be found in the park ponds. Fishing is available at the following park ponds:
- Heritage Park located at 2092 Reed Road. Lima, OH
- McLean Teddy Bear Park located at 2004 N. Dixie Hwy., Lima, OH
- Kendrick Woods located at 971 N. Defiance Trail, Spencerville, OH
For those with a fishing license, fishing is available 24 hours a day at the Lima Lake Reservoir located in Ottawa Metro Park (2632 Ada Road, Lima, OH). Lima Lake Reservoir is an 89 acre up-ground reservoir with a boat ramp and handicap fishing deck. Several types of fish can be found in Lima Lake including; bass, trout, walleye, bluegill, catfish, perch, crappies and saugeye.
Fishing is also available at the Agerter Road River Access, giving fisherman access to the Auglaize River.
